Royal Academy of Music announcement:

World-renowned pedagogue William Pleeth taught and inspired generations of musicians. Among these were just three child students: his son Anthony, Jacqueline du Pré and Robert Cohen. Robert will now be named William Pleeth Professor of Cello at the Royal Academy of Music.

On Monday 6 November, Robert will give a Royal Academy of Music public masterclass followed by a talk on William Pleeth. Robert will discuss the mastery of Pleeth's teaching and his extraordinary legacy.

Tickets to attend these events will be available to the public in July when booking opens for the autumn term.
